I like the thought that the universe was created by music.
This painting fits my imagination very well, which I'm proud of - normally my images just don't get it right... I really like how this one turned out.

Took about 6-8 hours, photoshop only, no references. These hands were a pain...!

Feel free to criticise! :)

Looks very good, I specially like the swirls and the smoothness of her skin. The right hand looks right, but the left one is bending too much in my opinion. The arm should be pointing towards the face and the hand should point to the other, as if it were following the line of the flute. But I know how painstaking hands can be, and you did it without reference! That earns you extra points ^^
What I do like a lot is her expression, so serene and concentrated in her music.
Great piece of art ^^
:-) Thank you for your critique!
Yes, I guess you're right with the hand, I heard that before...
Well, usually my paintings turn oiut much too stiff and not a bit dynamic, and I didn't want to spoil this one by overcorrecting the more dynamic parts (uah, my english...). And, after all, it's possible to turn your arm right into that position, though it isn't very comfortable. ;-)

It is simply wonderful!! (though not simple).

It's right that the hands may have some anatomical faults.
but I notice that the face looks so right to me. the spots of light around the eyes are great. It's got a magical atmosphere, and you made such a wonderful cosmic background with stars and stuff, it's really creating the world. the message is conveyed perfectly.

+ great work! +
This is really great - love all the swirlyness and the title fits it so well! You should look at the work of a guy called Rassouli, it's quite similar to his stuff. I'm not sure about the bald part on the person's head, but that's just me :)
Thank you! I'm not shure about the hairstyle, either, but I wanted to give him/her an exotic touch.
:-)
